Wellington has embraced the historic “Together” Concert on Sunday 3rd May, and it is heading for a sell-out with almost a month to go.
Tickets are still available in the mainly standing Meow Nui venue. The upstairs seating area has sold out.
Iconic musicians Don McGlashan and the Muttonbirds, SJD, and Luke Buda from Phoenix Foundation are coming together with exciting new stars Tiny Ruins and Sofia Machray, supported by the E tū Orchestral Musicians, in a tribute concert to Helen Kelly and Peter Conway.
The “Together” concert will be an evening of great music and a celebration of solidarity with the peoples of our Asia Pacific region at a time of increasing political division and fear.
This unique concert has captured the interest of both the Wellington music community and union members in the region.
All proceeds from the concert will go to UnionAID’s development projects in the SE Asia–Pacific region (www.unionaid.org.nz)
