Myanmar railway unions form Federation
With the numbers of railway union members reaching 2100, a national railway union federation was established this year in March. This brings together twelve regional unions from north to south in Myanmar. Union and OSH training is provided for these workers and a welding workshop was held for both members and non-members attended by 30 people. This union building and training work undertaken by U Min Lwin from the Confederation of Trade Unions of Myanmar (CTUM) has been funded by UnionAID over the past four years.
