Be an activist!
We are always welcoming of people who would like to volunteer their time and skills to support UnionAID. We have a committed group of UnionAID activists in Wellington and also have a number of volunteers in Auckland, Christchurch and other regions.
Activists are also invited to join a monthly Action Committee meeting to discuss the project work and plan fundraising and other activities here in New Zealand.
What can you do?
- Fundraising vital to the sustainability of our overseas project work. We welcome people who would like to run a local fundraiser or help out on a fundraising activity. Quizzes, films, debates, dinners, fun runs are all good ideas and we can provide you with support.
- Be an activist in your workplace and help sign-up your colleagues or union delegates as Kiwi Solidarity Donors. We can provide a pack of information to activists and sign-up forms.
- Design, IT or social media skills? We are always on the look out for people who can help prepare promotional material for our events and for social media.
- Other skills? Send us an email and let us know how you think you can help UnionAID’s cause.
To help with any of the above send a message to michael@unionaid.org.nz and we will be in touch.
