With great sadness we acknowledge the death of Helen Kelly, one of our founding Trustees, on October 14. Helen fought for a better life for all, including working people overseas. As well as supporting UnionAID, her leadership in the ILO and international union movement has helped set the course for expanding the rights of working people in our Asia-Pacific region.
Earlier this year, Helen gave the inaugural Peter Conway lecture, to honour the memory of her colleague, friend and fellow UnionAID Trustee. Her lecture was engaging, humorous and insightful; you can view it here. It was also a call to action for us all to work together for fairness, justice and a better world, just as she did so wonderfully throughout her life right until the end.
